The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) was started in 1990 on the rec.arts.movies newsgroup by a group of movie fans. They catalog all sorts of information on over 250,000 movies made since the dawn of cinema, plus even more on over 900,000 people who helped make them. Roger Ebert has been one of America's best known film critics for 30 years. He is the film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times and also writes regular columns on Great Movies and The Movie Answer Man. He is perhaps best known for his long running film review show with the late Gene Siskel. He currently partners with fellow Sun-Times columnist Richard Roeper on Ebert and Roeper and the Movies.
